Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accountant position will provide expertise in the financial operations and financial reporting functions for multiple legal entities. This position will be responsible for account reconciliations, ensuring appropriate general ledger entries have been posted, assisting with consolidation of entities, and other related duties. Additional responsibilities of the Accountant include assisting in the design, development, and improvement of financial systems and controls and the development and documentation of financial processes and procedures.
Special Projects/Other Duties
Knowledge: Must possess prior experience in financial reporting, consolidation as well as analyzing and enhancing financial systems and controls. Must be familiar with general accounting concepts.
Skills: Excellent organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge is strongly preferred.
Abilities: Able to work independently as well as in a team environment; must have the ability to switch quickly between different tasks. Able to effectively express ideas clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; communicate effectively with people at all levels and effectively communicate information clearly through all media channels. Read and understand a variety of reports, spreadsheets, and forms.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred. Any accounting certifications is a plus. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
