As a Teller, you will be working with an experienced, engaged team that keeps the needs of our customers first and foremost. You will be processing various financial transactions including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments. If you enjoy interacting with customers and working with numbers as a valued team member in a fun and family friendly atmosphere, then this is the position for you.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Builds and maintains relationships with customers. Must clearly understand C&F banking services, interpret customers’ needs, and recommend appropriate bank product or service.
  • Promptly, efficiently and accurately responds to customers’ requests, inquiries, or problems.
  • Processes teller transactions for lobby and drive-thru teller areas, verifies deposits, examines endorsement and negotiability of items presented, and verifies signatures.
  • Balances drawer and coin vault daily.
  • Complies with all regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Branch Manager.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Long periods of standing or sitting
  • Ability to lift and carry cash drawers and coin bags/boxes
  • Long periods of typing and repetitive motion

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-1 years of experience. 
  • Retail customer service or sales experience a plus.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Positive, courteous, friendly, and professional.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
