Job Summary:
This primary objective of this role is to acquire new consumer and small business relationships via active and organized prospecting, customer appointment-setting, and subsequent execution of the C&F Relationship Review (consumer and business). Additional objectives include deepening and retaining current customer relationship using the same strategies and in collaboration with all partners and teammates.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience: HS diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred, preferably in finance, banking, or a related field; a combination of experience and education will be considered. 1-2 years branch banking experience and 2+ years of successful sales/customer relationship-building experience required. Demonstrated knowledge of relationship-driven business development is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong interpersonal, organizational, results orientation, time management, and communication skills, including business writing and public speaking, are required. Small business and consumer credit skills, including balance sheet/financial statement analysis preferred. Excellent negotiating skills preferred. Demonstrated ability to be effective in networking and prospecting. Proven ability to deepen and enhance customer relationships; proven ability to acquire new customers to include prospecting, gaining meetings, interviewing, and closing.
Travel
Must be able to travel to all Bank locations, including subsidiaries.
Physical demands:
Employee may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: view computer monitors, keyboarding, sitting, motion of fingers/hands/wrists, and standing/walking; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in operational office and a retail branch environment.
